Corporal and Spiritual works of Mercy;Psalms

SPIRITUAL WORKS OF MERCY
have long been a part of the Christian tradition, appearing in the works of the theologians and spiritual writers throughout History.  Just as Jesus attended to the spiritual well-being of those he ministered to these works of Mercy guide us to "help our neighbor in their Spiritual needs"

1) Counseling the Doubtful

2) Instruct the Ignorant ( invite others to Church )

3) Admonishing the Sinner (Do not judge, but be supportive in helping others to find their way and correct their mistakes. Together we can walk more closely with Christ.)

4) Comforting the Sorrowful

5) Forgiving Injuries ( let go of grudges; saying sorry)

6) Bearing Wrongs- Patiently  ( Do not be bitter about wrongs done against you. Place your hope In God so that you can endure the troubles of this world and face them with a compassionate Spirit.

7) Praying for the Living and Dead ( Prayer is one of the most powerful ways we can support others.  Joining together in prayer for the living and dead entrusts us all into God's care. ; Offer Our Mass or prayer intentions up to Our Lord, for someone living or whom has passed away.

CORPORAL WORKS OF MERCY
are found in the teachings of Jesus and give us a model for how we should treat all others, as if they were Christ in disguise . The are Charitable actions by which we help our neighbors in their bodily needs.

1) Feed the Hungry

2) Give Drink to the Thirsty

3) Shelter the Homeless

4) Visit the Sick

5) Visit the Prisoners

6) Bury the Dead

7) Give alms to the Poor ( donate clothing, needed material items, money to charities.)

NOTE; Grace is the participation of the Nature through God .
Grace is favour, the free and undeserved help that God gives us to respond to his CALL to become children of God, adoptive sons and daughters; partakers of the divine nature and eternal life the means by which God grants His grace are many.
Moved by grace man turns toward God and away from sin, thus accepting work of God's love
made manifest in Christ Jesus and granted by the Holy Spirit.

THE SEVEN GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

1) Wisdom : Is the first and highest gift of the Holy Spirit because it is the perfection of the theological virtue meaning ( faith, hope, charity).

2) Understanding : The teachings of the Church. ... The Holy Spirit guiding the gift ( understanding)
of God into apostolic use.

3) Counsel :  Is supernatural... it perfects the virtue of ... as it were to the heart and in an instant enlightens a person what to do.

4) Fortitude : A Firmness of Spirit as a virtue ...it is a steadiness of will in doing good in spite of difficulties faced in the performance of one's duty.

5) Knowledge : Helps a person to ... the Holy Spirit can set a fire the great gift of knowledge , thereby, we can know the Lord.

6) Piety : A special gift of the Holy Spirit ... it perfects the virtue of religion which is the practice of justice toward God ( The perfection of religion) " the moral virtue by which a person is disposed to render to God the worship and service He deserves.

7) Fear : The last gift of the Holy Spirit.  It is the moral life of Christians .... a reverent fear that moves a person to do God's will.  Fear to stand up for the truths of the faith, because the Holy Spirit will guide us in defending those truths... fear of doing anything in the will of God.

FOR THE HELPLESS UNBORN
Heavenly Father, you create men
in your own image, and you
desire that not even the least
among us should perish.
In your love for us.  You
entrusted your only Son
to the Holy Virgin Mary.
Now, in your love,
protect against the wickedness of the devil,
those little ones to whom
you have given the GIFT OF LIFE. (Pray this Prayer often)

PSALM 95;  A Call to Praise and Obedience

Come, let us sing joyfully to the Lord;
let us acclaim the Rock of our salvation
Let us greet him with thanksgiving;
let us joyfully sing psalms to him
For the Lord is a great God,
and a great king above all gods;
In his hands are the depths of the earth,
and the tops of the mountains are his.
His is the sea, for he has made it,
and the dry land, which his hands have formed.
Come, let us bow down in worship;
let us kneel before the Lord who made us.
For he is our God
and we are the people he shepherds, the
flock he guides.
O, that today you would hear his voice;

Harden not your hearts as at Meribah.
as in the day of Massah in the desert.
Where your fathers tempted me;
they tested me though they had seen my
works.
Forty years I loathed that generation,
and I said: They are a people of erring heart.(erring means: go astray, lose one's way, be in error)
and they know not my ways.
Therefore I swore in my anger;
They shall not enter into my rest."

PSALM 96; The Glories of the Lord, the King of the Universe

Sing to the Lord a new song;
sing to the Lord, all you lands.
Sing to the Lord; bless his name;
announce his salvation, day after day.
Tell his glory among the nations;
among all peoples, his wondrous deeds.
For great is the Lord and highly to be praised;
awesome is he, beyond all gods.
For all the gods of the nations are things
of nought,
but the Lord made the heavens

Splendor and majesty go before him;
Praise and grandeur are in his sanctuary.
Give to the Lord, you families of nations.
give to the Lord the glory and praise;
give to the Lord the glory due his name!
Bring gifts, and enter his courts;
worship the Lord in holy attire.
Tremble before him, all the earth
say among the nations; The Lord is King.
He has made the world firm, not to be moved;
he governs the peoples with equity.
Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice;
let the sea and what fills it resound;
let the plains be joyful and all that is in them!
Then shall all the trees of the forest exult
before the Lord, for he comes;
for he comes to rule the world with justice
and the peoples with his constancy.
\
PSALM 97; The Divine King, the just judge of All
The Lord is king; let the earth rejoice;
let the many isles be glad.
Clouds and darkness are round about him,
justice and judgment are the foundation
of  his throne.
Fire goes before him
and comsumes his foes round about.
His lightnings illumine the World;
the earth sees and trembles.
The mountains melt like was before the Lord.
before the Lord of all the earth.
The heavens proclaim his justice,
and all peoples see his glory.
All who worship graven things are put to shame,
who glory in the things of nought;
all gods are prostrate before him
Zion hears and is glad,
and the cities of Judah rejoice
because of your judgments, O Lord.
Because you, O Lord, are the Most High
over all the earth.
exalted far above all gods.
The Lord loves those that hate evil;
he guards the lives of his faithful ones;
from the hand of the wicked he delivers them.
Light dawns for the just;
and gladness, for the upright of heart.
Be glad in the Lord, you just.
and give thanks to his holy name.

O ' America (stay strong, stay faithful,always keep your head held high)

He sent his only Son to the world

and has sent his Son as an offering for our sins.
Beloved,
if God has loved us so,

CARRYING OUR CROSS

Though we carry the Cross of suffering
Though we carry the Cross of pain
Though our pain is often physical, emotional, or spiritual
We Will Carry Our Cross.
Although we don't necessarily accept Our Cross
We Will Pick Up Our Cross.
Our Lord will be at our side
He will be the one to give Us Strength
He will ask Us "take up your Cross"
Through Your Cross I am giving You
You will receive MY GLORY IN HEAVEN!
Although it is natural to want the Cross to go away, however
We want what God wants
How he wants it,
The way he wants it.
We can even have Peace in our hard times , however
We pick up OUR CROSS.
We are not to avoid OUR CROSS
Satan tries to keep us away from OUR CROSS
Satan wants us not to TRUST IN GOD
Satan wants us to avoid Our Suffering, and Pain
Satan wants us to Blame God, and we look down on Our Own Cross.
Satan whispers , Do not pick up your Cross
Our Cross Is Our Own, Given By God Himself
God gives Us Our Cross, to help build strength in Him
We become ONE in Christ , through OUR CROSS
How do we  ask ourselves;how do I love this Pain?
How do I love My Cross?
God will direct Us the way He wants Us to go.
Again, we don't have to accept Our Cross, Only face it, and Pick It Up.
The Cross is not the end, it is for a greater means
Jesus is closer to Us when we are suffering,
when we have hardships, and trials.
WE RAISE UP OUR CROSS, AND OFFER IT ALL UP TO GOD
Our Lord will not break His Promises
He tells Us " do not fear
I will give you Strength
those who look HIGH ON THE CROSS
will always be underneath
My Holy Protection."

Dear One's: May we Help Carry Ones Cross whom seem difficult, and heavy.  We can go to ones needs, and help carry their heavy load.  We can help their Cross become lighter, by simply doing acts of kindness.  It is often the person to person contact, or hearing of ones voice in telling them they are loved.

Oh my Jesus !
I will carry my Cross, for
it is You who gave it to Me.
Please help me to "face my Cross"
Please help me to "step forward in your will."
Please help me " not to step backward."
May I not "hand my Cross to another."
May I not " be tempted to toss it away!"
Please help me "not to avoid my Cross."
Please help me "To Trust You With My Cross."
Please help me "to carry my Cross, and
I will rest in You.

LOVE IS THE KEY TO UNDERSTANDING SUFFERING
GOD REVEALS HIS LOVE THROUGH HIS CROSS
IN OUR SUFFERING WE RECEIVE A SPECIAL GRACE FROM OUR LORD
HE GIVES US COURAGE, AND IT'S OUR OPPORTUNITY TO GIVE ( SACRIFICIAL LOVE ; a self-sacrifice with pure motivation to relieve the suffering of others. this supreme love is suffering love, love that requires involvement in the problems of the world. love that bears with the failings and weaknesses of others, love that is committed to helping others regarding of the cost.

Psalm 27 verse 4-6 ;Trust In God
One thing I ask of the Lord;
this I seek;
To dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
That I may gaze on the loveliness  of the Lord
and contemplate his temple.
For he will hide me in his abode
in the day of trouble;
He will conceal me in the shelter of his tent;
he will set me high upon a rock.
Even now my head is held high
above my enemies on every side.
and I will offer in his tent
sacrifices with shouts of gladness;
I will sing and chant praise to the Lord

Luke Ch 9 verses 46-50 (Against Ambition)  A discussion arose among them as to which of them was the greatest. Jesus, who know their thoughts, took a little child and placed it beside him, after which he said to them ,"Whoever welcomes this little child on my account welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes HIM  who SENT ME; for the LEAST one among you is the GREATEST. " It was John who said, "Master, we saw a man using your name to expel demons, and we tried to stop him because he is not of our company."  Jesus told him in reply, "Do not stop him, for any man who is not against you is on your side."

Luke Ch 16: verses 1- 31 (The rich man and Lazarus)
"Once there was a rich man who dressed in purple and linen and feasted splendidly every day. At his gate lay a beggar named Lazarus who was covered with sores.  Lazarus longed to eat the scraps that fell from the rich man's table. The dogs even came and licked his sores.  Eventually, the beggar died.  He was carried by angels to the bosom of Abraham. The rich man likewise died and was buried. From the abode of the dead where he was in torment, he raised his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus resting in his bosom.
"He called out, "Father Abraham, have pity on me. Send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water to refresh my tongue, for I am tortured in these flames.  "My child, replied Abraham, " remember that you were well off in your lifetime, while Lazarus was in misery. Now he has found consolation here, but you have found torment. and that is not all . Between you and us there is fixed a great abyss, so that those who might wish to cross from here to you cannot do so, nor can anyone cross from your side to us.
" Father, I ask you, then, the rich man said, "send him to my father's house where I have five brothers. Let him be a warning to them so that they may not end in this place of torment." Abraham answered, They have Moses and the prophets. Let them hear them.  No, Father Abraham, replied the rich man. But if someone would only go to them from the dead, then they would repent.  Abraham said to him, "If they do not listen to Moses and the prophets, they will not be convinced even if one should rise from the dead."

Luke Ch 17: verses 1-7 ( Four Sayings of Jesus)
He said to his disciples: "Scandals will inevitably arise, but woe to him through whom they come.  He would be better off thrown into the sea with a millstone around his neck than give scandal to one of these little ones.  " Be on your guard, If your brother does wrong, correct him; if he repents, forgive him. If he sins against you seven times a day, and seven times a day turns back to saying, "I am sorry, forgive him."  The apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith,"and he answered; "If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could say to this sycamore , Be uprooted and transplanted into the sea. and it would obey you.
"If one of you had a servant plowing or herding sheep and he came in from the fields, would you say to him. Come and sit down at table? Would you not rather say, Prepare my supper. Put on your apron and wait on me while I eat and drink. You can eat and drink afterward? Would he be grateful to the servant who was only carrying out his orders: It is quite the same with you who hear me. When you have done ALL you have been commanded to do, say " We are useless servants. We have done no more than our duty."

1 Timothy Ch 2

CONDUCT OF MEN AND WOMEN : First of all, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be offered for ALL men. especially for kings and those in authority. That we may be able to lead undisturbed and tranquil lives in perfect piety and dignity. Prayer of this kind is good, and God our savior is pleased with it.  For he wants ALL men to be saved and come to know the truth. And the truth is this:
"God is one,
One also is the mediator between God and men. the man Christ Jesus,
Who gave himself as a ransom FOR ALL."
This truth was attested at the fitting time. I have been made its herald and apostle (believe me.  I am not lying but speak the truth.) the teacher of the nations in the true faith.
It is my wish , then, that in every place the men shall offer prayers with blameless hands held aloft, and be free from anger and dissension (strong disagreement.)  Similarly, the women must deport (to behave in a particular manner )themselves properly . They should dress  modestly and quietly, and not be decked out in fancy hair styles, gold ornaments, pearls, or costly clothing; rather, as becomes women who profess to be religious , their adornment should be good deeds. A woman must listen
 in silence and be completely submissive.  I do not permit a woman to act as teacher (be ahead of) or in any way to have authority over a man; she must be quiet. For Adam was created first, Eve afterward; moreover, it was not Adam who was deceived but the woman. It was she who was let astray and fell into sin.  She will be saved through childbearing ,provided she continues in faith and love and holiness' her chastity being taken for granted.

Dear one's  Our Loving Lord, does not have favorites, He was born, and died for everyone. he wishes everyone to be saved, and drawn to Him and Him alone.
"THE SPRINGS OF GOD'S DIVINE POWER, GUSH FORTH IN OUR WEAKNESSES. "
note; Teacher , in 1 Timothy Ch 2 verses 12 does not mean women can't teach, however it does mean of a woman's place or role in the Church.

MAY WE OFFER OUR PETITIONS, OUR PRAYERS UP TO OUR LORD, FOR HIM TO RECEIVE !!
WHEN WE DO "EMBRACE THE CROSS" PRAYER METHOD, GIVEN ON
(embraceholycross.com  website, underneath My favorites on this blog. )

We can make and offering to Jesus,before the prayer method and He will receive our prayer.
We are to make and offering each time, before we pray the Holy Rosary as well
We can make and offering before we pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet as well.

2 MACCABEES, CH 12 ; VERSES 46: " It is therefore a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead, that they may be loosed from sins.

Dear one's  We can do the EMBRACE THE CROSS prayer method, for anyone whom we care about , here on Earth, or for those who have passed away. We can do the prayer method for ourselves as well.
Please read on embraceholycross.com  website " The short way of Embrace the Cross  "
It can help give you strength and comfort of Our Lord.

PROVERBS CH; 3 VERSES 25-34  ATTITUDE TOWARD FELLOW MEN
Be not afraid of sudden terror,
of the ruin of the wicked when it comes;
 For the Lord will be your confidence, , and will keep your foot from the snare.
Refuse no one the good on which he has
a claim
when it is in your power to do it for him.
Say not to your neighbor, "Go and come again,
tomorrow I will give."when you can give at once.
Plot no evil against your neighbor.
against him who lives at peace with you.
Quarrel not with a man without cause.
with one who has done you no harm.
Envy not the lawless man
and choose none of his ways;
To the Lord the perverse (turned away from what is right or good) man is an abomination,
but with the upright is his friendship.
The curse of the Lord is on the house of
the wicked.
but the dwelling of the just he blesses.
When he is dealing with the arrogant, he is stern,
but to the humble he shows kindness.

Gregorian Chant singing Wonderwall

Monks singing a Gregorian Chant, Beautiful !

We Believe by the Newsboys (lyrics)

That's How You Change The World by Newsboys

Exaltation of The Holy Cross

EXALTATION OF THE HOLY CROSS IS  SEPTEMBER 14
LIFT HIGH THE CROSS !
THE CROSS IS THE SIGN OF GOD'S LOVE FOR US
WE ADORE THE CROSS OF JESUS, FOR HE HAS REDEEMED THE WORLD!
WE COME TO THE FOOT OF THE CROSS FOR SALVATION
WE RECEIVE IT BY FAITH IN CHRIST
BY HIS STRIPES WE WERE HEALED

SEPTEMBER 15 IS OUR LADY OF SORROWS

Wisdom Ch 2: verses 1-24; The Wicked Reject Immortality (unending life)
They who said among themselves, thinking nor aright;
"Brief and troublous is our lifetime;
neither is there any remedy for man's dying,
nor is anyone known to have come back
from the nether world.
For haphazard were we born
and hereafter we shall be as though we
had not been;
Because the breath in our nostrils is a smoke
and reason is a spark at the beating of
our hears,
and when this is quenched, our body will be ashes
and our spirit will be poured abroad like
unresisting air .
Even our name will be forgotten in time,
and no one will recall our deeds.
So our life will pass away like the traces of a cloud,
and will be dispersed like a mist
Pursued by the sun's rays
and overpowered by its heat.
For our lifetime is the passing of a shadow;
and our dying cannot be deferred
because it is fixed with a seal; and no one
returns.
Come, therefore, let us enjoy the good things
that are real,
and use the freshness of creation avidly.
Let us have our fill of costly wine and perfumes.
and let no springtime blossom pass us by;
let us crown ourselves with rosebuds ere they wither.
Let no meadow be free from our wantonness;
everywhere let us leave tokens of our rejoicing,
for this our portion is, and this our lot.
Let us oppress the needy just man;
let us neither spare the widow
nor revere the old man for his hair grown
white with time.
But let our strength be our norm of justice;
for weakness proves itself useless.
Let us beset the just one, because he is obnoxious to us;
he sets himself against our doings,
Reproaches us for transgressions (to go beyond the limits imposed by Law or Command)
and charges us with violations of our training.
He professes to have knowledge of God
and styles himself a child of the Lord.
To us he is the censure (strong disapproval ) of our thoughts
merely to see him is a hardship for us,
Because his life is not like other men's,
and different are his ways.
he judges us debased (to reduce in quality or value)
he holds aloof from our paths as from things impure
He calls blessed the destiny of the just
and boasts that God is his Father.
Let us see whether his words be true;
let us find out what will happen to him.
For if the just one be the son of God, he
will defend him
and deliver him from the hand of his foes.
with revilement and torture let us put him
to the test
that we may have proof of his gentleness
and try his patience.
Let us condemn him to a shameful death;
for according to his own words, God will
take care of him.
These were their thoughts, but they erred (mistaken)
for their wickedness blinded them.
And they knew not the counsels of
God;
neither did they count on recompense (reward)
of holiness nor discern the innocent souls' reward.
For God formed man to be imperishable (not subject to decay)
the image of his own nature he made him.
but by the envy of the devil, death entered
the world,
and they who are in his possession experience it.

ISAIAH CH: 5 VERSES 20-25  Doom of the unjust

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil
Who change darkness into light, and light into darkness
Who change bitter into sweet, and sweet into bitter!
Woe to those who are wise in their own sight,
and prudent in their own esteem!
the valiant at mixing strong drink!
Woe to the champions at drinking wine,
To those who acquit the guilty for bribes,
and deprive the just man of his rights!
Therefore, as the tongue of fire licks up stubble,
as dry grass shrivels in the flame,
Even so their root shall be rotten
and their blossom scatter like dust;
For they have spurned the LAW OF THE LORD
of host,
and scorned the word of the Holy One of Israel.
Therefore the wrath of the Lord blazes against
his people,
he raises his hand to strike them;
When the mountains quake,
their corpses shall be like refuse in the streets.
For all this, his wrath is not turned back,
and his hand is still outstretched.

ISAIAH CH: 6 VERSES 11-15 Disciples of Isaiah

For thus said the Lord to me, taking hold of me and warning me
not to walk in the way of the people;
Call not alliance (the act of the state of being) what this people calls alliance,
and fear not, nor stand in awe of what they fear.
But with the Lord of host make your alliance ;
for him be your fear and your awe.
Yet he shall be a snare , an obstacle and a
stumbling stone to both the houses of Israel.
A trap and a snare
to those who swell in Jerusalem;
and many among them shall stumble and fall,
broken, snared and captured.

Blessed Mary witnessed her Son radiant dawn on the Cross.
May we stand beside Her in our own pain and difficulties
so we ourselves can become radiant in the sight of God.
May we have Hope and Joy of Jesus , in all Our Days !!

Peter's Canticle by John Michael Talbot

In Christian Charity/Christian Suffering

1 Peter Chapter 3 Verses 8-12; In Christian Charity: In summary , then, ALL of you should be like-minded, sympathetic, loving toward one another, kindly disposed, and humble. Do not return evil for evil or insult for insult. Return a blessing instead. This you have been called to do, that you may receive a blessing as your inheritance.
"He who cares for life
and wants to see prosperous days
must keep  his tongue from evil
and his lips from uttering deceit(falseness)
He must turn from evil and do good,
seek peace and follow after it.
because the Lord has eyes for the just
and ears fro their cry;
but against evildoers the Lord sets his face."

1 Peter Chapter 3 verses 13-22; In Christian Suffering:  Who indeed can harm you if you are committed deeply to doing what is right? Even if you should have to suffer for justice' sake, happy will you be. "Fear not and do not stand in awe of what this people fears." Venerate the Lord, that is Christ, in your hearts. Should anyone ask you the reason for this hope of yours, be ever ready to reply,  but speak gently and respectfully.  Keep your conscience clear, so that, whenever you are defamed, those who libel (misrepresents) your way of life in Christ may be shamed. If it should be God's will that you suffer, it is better to do so for good deeds than for evil ones. The reason why Christ died for sins once for all, the just man for the sake of the unjust, was that he might lead you to God. He was put to death insofar as fleshly existence goes, but was given life in the realm of the spirit. It was in the spirit also that he went to preach to the spirits in prison. They had disobeyed  as long ago as Noah's day. While God patiently waited until the ark was built. At that time, a few persons, eight in all. escaped in the ark through the water. You are now saved by a baptismal bath which corresponds to this exactly. This baptism is no removal of physical stain, but the pledge to God of an irreproachable conscience through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He went to Heaven and is at God's right hand. with Angelic rulers and powers subjected to Him.

1 Peter Chapter 4 verses 1-5 ; In Christian Faithfulness: Christ suffered in the flesh; therefore, arm yourselves with his same mentality.  He who has suffered in the flesh has broken with sin. You are not to spend what remains of your earthly life on Human desires but on the will of God. Already you have devoted enough time to what the pagans enjoy. living lives of debauchrey, evil desires, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and wanton idolatry.  It is no wonder that those blasphemers are surprised when you do not plunge into the same swamp of profligacy (shamelessly immoral , recklessly prodigal (wastefully extravagant) as they. They shall give an accounting to him who stands ready to judge the living and the dead. The reason the gospel was preached even to the dead was that, although condemned in the flesh in the eyes of men. they might live in the spirit in the EYES OF GOD.

Dear One's, Sin destorys, and we find ourselves in becoming distorted. May we embrace the life of GRACE when we have dwelling in CHRIST.  We become ENLIGHTENED - ALIVE IN JESUS!
OH People ! If one is lost , you can be found !!  If we have been chained or imprisoned in our distance from God WE CAN BE LIFTED UP !
If the enemy of Satan has been in the battle ground in our heart JESUS can make US WHOLE!   He will allow us to see the EVIL on the BATTLEGROUND, OUR EYES BECOME OPEN, AND WE WILL  KNOW HOW TO RESPOND !
We will have the knowledge , and God's Graces to respond to anything we encounter like Jesus does!  We have awareness , and we want to be like Jesus!

MAY WE NEVER FALL INTO THE TRAP OF SATAN, FOR HE IS THE ONE , TRYING TO DISTORT THE BEAUTY OF OUR SOUL.

MAY WE SEEK OUT BAPTISM ! Through the Sacrament of baptism We receive Christ Holy Spirit and we receive his Graces.  We become born in Christ and purified .May we become baptized and be united as ONE in Christ OUR LORD !!
WE HAVE BEEN BAPTIZED THROUGH CHRIST DEATH, AND HIS RESURRECTION

WE COME TO THE FOOT OF THE CROSS FOR SALVATION .
THE CROSS IS THE SIGN OF GOD'S LOVE FOR WE ADORE JESUS , FOR HE HAS REDEEMED THE WORLD.
BY HIS STRIPES WE WERE HEALED.

1 PETER CHAPTER 2 VERSES  21-25 :  It was for this you were called, since Christ suffered for you in just this way and left you an example. to have you follow in his footsteps.  He did no wrong; no deceit was found in his mouth. When he was insulted, he returned no insult. When he was made to suffer; he did not counter with threats.  Instead, he delivered himself up to the One who judges justly. In his own body he brought your sins to the Cross, so that all of us dead to sin, could live in accord with God's will. By his wounds you were healed.  At one time you were straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd, the Guardian of your souls.

WE ARE HIS PEOPLE; THE SHEEP OF HIS FLOCK.

PSALM 100 (a psalm of thanksgiving)
Sing joyfully to the Lord, all you lands; serve the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful song.
Know that the Lord is God;
he made us, his we are;
his people, the flock he tends.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
his courts with praise;
Give thanks to him; bless his name,
for he is good;
the Lord, whose kindness endures forever,
and his faithfulness, to all generations.

Daniel Ch: 12  Those who are wise will shine brightly like the splendor of the firmament : means ( The heavens or sky) and those who lead the many to justice shall be like the stars forever !
