EXALTATION OF THE HOLY CROSS IS  SEPTEMBER 14
LIFT HIGH THE CROSS !
THE CROSS IS THE SIGN OF GOD'S LOVE FOR US
WE ADORE THE CROSS OF JESUS, FOR HE HAS REDEEMED THE WORLD!
WE COME TO THE FOOT OF THE CROSS FOR SALVATION
WE RECEIVE IT BY FAITH IN CHRIST
BY HIS STRIPES WE WERE HEALED

SEPTEMBER 15 th. IS OUR LADY OF SORROWS ( List Provided)

Wisdom Ch 2: verses 1-24; The Wicked Reject Immortality (unending life)
They who said among themselves, thinking nor aright;
"Brief and troublous is our lifetime;
neither is there any remedy for man's dying,
nor is anyone known to have come back
from the nether world.
For haphazard were we born
and hereafter we shall be as though we
had not been;
Because the breath in our nostrils is a smoke
and reason is a spark at the beating of
our hearts,
and when this is quenched, our body will be ashes
and our spirit will be poured abroad like
unresisting air .
Even our name will be forgotten in time,
and no one will recall our deeds.
So our life will pass away like the traces of a cloud,
and will be dispersed like a mist
Pursued by the sun's rays
and overpowered by its heat.
For our lifetime is the passing of a shadow;
and our dying cannot be deferred
because it is fixed with a seal; and no one
returns.
Come, therefore, let us enjoy the good things
that are real,
and use the freshness of creation avidly.
Let us have our fill of costly wine and perfumes.
and let no springtime blossom pass us by;
let us crown ourselves with rosebuds ere they wither.
Let no meadow be free from our wantonness;
everywhere let us leave tokens of our rejoicing,
for this our portion is, and this our lot.
Let us oppress the needy just man;
let us neither spare the widow
nor revere the old man for his hair grown
white with time.
But let our strength be our norm of justice;
for weakness proves itself useless.
Let us beset the just one, because he is obnoxious to us;
he sets himself against our doings,
Reproaches us for transgressions (to go beyond the limits imposed by Law or Command)
and charges us with violations of our training.
He professes to have knowledge of God
and styles himself a child of the Lord.
To us he is the censure (strong disapproval ) of our thoughts
merely to see him is a hardship for us,
Because his life is not like other men's,
and different are his ways.
he judges us debased (to reduce in quality or value)
he holds aloof from our paths as from things impure
He calls blessed the destiny of the just
and boasts that God is his Father.
Let us see whether his words be true;
let us find out what will happen to him.
For if the just one be the son of God, he
will defend him
and deliver him from the hand of his foes.
with revilement and torture let us put him
to the test
that we may have proof of his gentleness
and try his patience.
Let us condemn him to a shameful death;
for according to his own words, God will
take care of him.
These were their thoughts, but they erred (mistaken)
for their wickedness blinded them.
And they knew not the counsels of
God;
neither did they count on recompense (reward)
of holiness nor discern the innocent souls' reward.
For God formed man to be imperishable (not subject to decay)
the image of his own nature he made him.
but by the envy of the devil, death entered 
the world,
and they who are in his possession experience it.

ISAIAH CH: 5 VERSES 20-25  Doom of the unjust

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil
Who change darkness into light, and light into darkness
Who change bitter into sweet, and sweet into bitter!
Woe to those who are wise in their own sight,
and prudent in their own esteem!
the valiant at mixing strong drink!
Woe to the champions at drinking wine,
To those who acquit the guilty for bribes,
and deprive the just man of his rights!
Therefore, as the tongue of fire licks up stubble,
as dry grass shrivels in the flame,
Even so their root shall be rotten
and their blossom scatter like dust;
For they have spurned the LAW OF THE LORD
of host,
and scorned the word of the Holy One of Israel.
Therefore the wrath of the Lord blazes against
his people,
he raises his hand to strike them;
When the mountains quake,
their corpses shall be like refuse in the streets.
For all this, his wrath is not turned back,
and his hand is still outstretched.

ISAIAH CH: 6 VERSES 11-13 Disciples of Isaiah

For thus said the Lord to me, taking hold of me and warning me 
not to walk in the way of the people;
Call not alliance (the act of the state of being) what this people calls alliance,
and fear not, nor stand in awe of what they fear.
But with the Lord of host make your alliance ;
for him be your fear and your awe.
Yet he shall be a snare , an obstacle and a
stumbling stone to both the houses of Israel.
A trap and a snare
to those who dwell in Jerusalem;
and many among them shall stumble and fall,
broken, snared and captured.

ANOTHER VERSION: OF CH. 6 V 8-13
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying,
 "Whom shall I send? Who will go for Us?
"Here I am," I said; "send Me ! And 
he replied: Go and say to this people;
Listen carefully, but you shall not understand!
Look intently, but you shall know nothing!
You are to make the heart of this people
sluggish,
to dull their ears, and close their eyes;
Else their eyes will see, their ears hear,
their heart understand.
and they will turn and be healed.
"How long, O Lord?" I asked. And he
replied:
Until the cities are desolate,
without inhabitants. 
Houses, without a man,
and the earth is a desolate waste.
Until the Lord removes men far away,
and the land is abandoned more and more.
If there is still a tenth part in it,
then this in turn shall be laid waste;
As with a terebinth or an oak
whose trunk remains when its leaves have
fallen.
(Holy offspring is the trunk.)


Blessed Mary witnessed her Son radiant dawn on the Cross.
May we stand beside Her in our own pain and difficulties
so we ourselves can become radiant in the sight of God.
May we have Hope and Joy of Jesus , in all Our Days !!
