Veteran's Day ! Our Freedom , by Rachel Foster

Every individual born in America is ultimately given an unbiased privilege; the right to take our first steps freely and without boundaries. This entire world of such diversity, challenge, succession, and unlimited opportunities within, is like a present that is offered for each and every one of us to rip open and uncover the mysteries that are in store for us. We can all share the present and be a tiny part of it all, and that is the beautiful thing about it. As an American, you can grow up and fulfill your craziest dreams, you can leave the country and be welcomed back as many times as you wish to, you can be your own leader and choose how you want to go about life, and you have the exceptional freedom to share your unique spirit with whoever you may meet. However, without that victorious freedom that we rightfully earned, almost none of the earthly treasures would be as enjoyable as it could be to us. America would not be so great without such a key factor to our nation. That is why we should never underestimate freedom in our country. Of course America is not perfect, but America should not be to blame. We as the free citizens within it are what determine how great it can be. If we each took a moment everyday to feel gratitude for what our past has fought for, for the sake of our current lives, then America could be not only a free country but a truthfully proud country. We can have all of the freedom we want but it wouldn't make sense to have it unless it got the appreciation it most definitely deserves. Let us not forget our triumphant wins and our losses. Every veteran who fought wholeheartedly in all sorts of positions and environments, should overall be generously recognized. It is because of them that we can wake up every morning safe and sound in our protective country. Our military is the heart of our ground. It keeps us going and we depend so much on the heroes involved and were involved in the hardships of battling. May you never be taken for granted for serving the country dignifying and all of your fierce love you gave under our high flying flag. Let’s always be proud and express great, selfless love like a veteran.
