Anne Frank (Notes from Lori Foster's Journals) & Videos

Anne Frank ,  Born   June 12, 1929 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany

                            Died  February/March 1945

        I wrote in my journal about a reoccurring dream I had about empty rooms.   In this dream I am in a large older house ;  and on the upper level is a hidden door.  I open the door and there are at least 3 or 4 hidden empty rooms. It's spacious and quiet.  I remember being amazed.}

A few weeks after the given dream ; I found a thin paperback book about Anne Frank.

     May 20, 2013 , I wrote { A few days ago I've been reading this thin book my mother-in-law had given to my daughter.  It's about "Anne Frank: Life in Hiding." The book mentioned about the secret door , stairs, and many hidden rooms. It reminded me of my reoccurring dream.}

After I had read the thin paper back book , I found two more books about "Anne Frank : The Diary of A Young Girl" and a third book called ," Anne Frank's Tales From The Secret Annex." I found these books in a closet , stored away with some of my  children's books.

note: The Nazi Germany surrenders , May 7, 1945

May 8 was declared Victory-in-Europe (V-E) Day, a day still celebrated as a public holiday in some European countries, including Russia.

Anne Frank ( notes from Lori Foster's Journals)

Anne Frank's  diary was found in the Annex ; where she , her family, and the others were found . They were all  loaded up on trucks, and taken to concentration camps.

Her diaries were given to her Father, Otto. He was the only one from the Secret Annex,  that survived the concentration camps.

Otto's business in Amsterdam,  was called Opekta .   His business manufactured products used for making jellies and jams, and his daughters started attending Dutch schools . As the years passed, Frank watched with concern as Adolf Hitler and the Nazi regime becoming more aggressive.

Because Otto knew his family was in danger , he asked a woman named Miep Gies if she would be willing to hide his family in the Secret Annex . Miep and her husband Jan, were both employee's for Franks business at the Warehouse.   They also brought in Frank's business partner's family {The Van Pel's  and Miep's dentist}.  Miep and her husband , were also  hiding a student in their own home , whom survived .

Miep is the one that found Anne's diaries and gave them to Otto . At first, he could not find the courage to read them.  Once he began reading them he wanted his family and friends to read them as well.

Anne was so young when she had to go into the Secret Annex ; hiding from the German Soldiers.

She was the youngest of the group.  She was always getting into trouble. She was  told that she was rude and loud. She felt as though no one understood her.

They were in hiding for two years and one month before they were captured. The Annex was in a large warehouse building. Meip and Jan Gies , would  bring them food, water, clothes, and toiletries ; until things got worse towards the end of the War. They had to eat rotten potatoes and porridge cabbage.

Anne was only 15 years old when she died . Her 16th birthday would have been June 12, 1945. Anne was like any young girl. She was spunky, liked movies, ride her bicycle, read books, and loved to be with her girl friends. She also liked boys but was to shy to be with them.

It was during her stay in the Secret Annex , where Anne  was becoming a teenager.  She began falling in love with Peter , whom was a few years older than her.   He was the son of the Van Pel's.   During the last year staying in the Secret Annex ; Anne and Peter were falling in love.  They would hug one another and even kissed .  They both had hopes and dreams when They would get out of there.

They were discovered on August 4, 1944.  . Anne and her sister were sent to Amsterdam concentration camp and the men were sent away to another camp. It would be the last time Anne would ever see her father whom she loved so much.  Furthermore, it was the last time she ever seen Peter ; her new love of excitement.

Anne had witnessed  people being driven by her camp to the gas chambers. "The red flames kept burning."    Anne , looking trough the barb wire fence , and she could see such  indescribable evil taking place. She could see a group of girls loaded on a truck and going to the gas chambers.

Anne's mother  Edith,  died of starvation at Auschwitz- Birkenau  Concentration Camp in January 1945.    Anne and her sister Margot . were spared immediate death in Auschwitz gas chambers and instead were sent to Bergen-Belsen , a concentration camp in Northern Germany.  They both died of typhus and their bodies were thrown into a mass grave in February/ March of  1945.

Peter Van Pel ,  Died on May 10, 1945 and he was only 18 years old. He fell ill in the sick barracks. The camp was liberated by American Troops on May 5, 1945. Peter watched as his father and a group of men were marched away , only later to see a truck return with just their clothing. As the Russians approached, the Nazis evacuated the camp and after a long march from Auschwitz, Peter ended up at Mauthausen Concentration Camp and died May 10, 1945.

Anne , Margot, and their Mother, and Peter were spared from going into the gas chambers. Their Spirits were taken to Our Lord.+++

Anne was a very strong young girl.  She wanted to see the world .  She loved nature , books, and history.  She loved to read about movies and she wanted to explore and travel.  She had a desire to be loved by someone who really cared about her. .

Before Anne died , she was outside one day looking through the barb wire fence.  She saw her friend  whom was a girl named  "Lies ."   They touched one another through the fence and cried.  Their eyes looked so big because of no meat on their bones.

Anne saw the evil that happened to her family and the rest of the Jewish people . She placed her eyes on something she couldn't even comprehend .  Why??? Before they were captured  she  told Peter she wanted to know about Jesus Christ ; the Christian's beliefs.

Anne  was gently taken into Heaven .  She lives with her precious family in God's Kingdom where she can be  "Anne. "

Anne was one brave young lady.  She had to hide and learn about survival. She had to learn how to remain positive.  She learned bout her inner self and how to trust in people who were saving them.

I believe Anne and (Corrie Ten Boom) began seeing God day by day.

They began building up strength and able to face evil and bypass it.  They stayed

focus on their Lord .

Their courage was being built day by day.

Their thought process was in trying to remember all the gifts they had ; especially their family and friends .  They remembered their laughter but most of all their faith and Trust in God.

They both had to remind themselves of human dignity.  And the importance of how to treat another person , and how to be treated.  Even in such a world where evil seems to be winning ; God shines forth in it all .  He is constantly saying " Place your Trust in Me."  It's like a child learning all these things in the arms of their parents.

The focus begins to be taken off of ourselves  and we actually join our "Spirit"  to God.  God's strength is given to us with all His love.  In our difficulties our heads are held high with the Angels.  We know its not the will of God to have evil placed upon  anyone.  However , if we are faced with evil we are to be not of this world but only of God's world.  Our endurance comes from "The Divine Power of God ."  He conquered death on the Cross , He rose from the dead, and by His Cross He Redeemed the World +++

Anne and Corrie , both could see how their bodies were declining and changing in an unspeakable condition.  However , God kept pressing them on to continue to live and not allow evil to control them.  They both had one thing in common , they wanted to be treated and looked at as anyone else.  They wanted to be seen as a wonderful person of God's creation.

They knew who they were and where they came from. They knew of their hopes and dreams they had for themselves.  They had so much love for their families and friends and that is what kept them going.  For they knew the darkness of evil could win over their mind and spirit. But with God they kept their minds, hearts and souls with God.+++

All the evil they had to place their eyes upon and all the evil they heard ; did not consume them.  They knew God was no where in the evil .  They had to learn to fix their own bodies ; meaning their own Spirits to God. They had to Trust in God and they were both lifted up directly to Him.

They faced evil but their Spirits were already prepared  They  had God as their driving force.

They had God as their captain !  God was constantly beaming forth

His Mercy

His Love.

His Direction

His Oneness

He desired them both and they knew it.  They were in union with God.

Dear Ones , I believe this is how God feels about us all , especially in our lonely and difficult moments of our lives.

An estimate of 6 million Jews died during the Holocaust.

All of Anne's classmates died except three.

They built a school where her concentration camp was , "Anne Frank School." Many things are named after Anne Frank including a tulip. She was only 15 years old when she passed away ; three months before her 16th birthday .

Anne didn't survive bodily but her Spirit was united with her Divine Savior+++

Corrie did survive and she encountered Jesus Christ everywhere she went. She could see her Lord in all the greatness and goodness of God's people.

In Anne's final entry  Frank wrote of how others perceive her,  describing herself as "A bundle of contradictions."  She wrote "As I've told you many times, I'm split in two.  One side contains my exuberant cheerfulness, my flippancy, my joy in life and above all, my ability to appreciate the lighter side of things."
