She Wiped His Tears

The soft glow awoke her and

The announcement from the Angel

of the Lord, spoke to her.

He greeted Mary and said

"Favored One!" The Lord

is with you . "And behold,

you will conceive in your

womb and bear a son ,

and you shall name him

Jesus." (Luke Ch. 1 V-28-31)

How terrified Blessed Mary

must have been.  She answered with

her yes , and went with

God's Holy Plan.

Mary leads us to discover the

secret of Christian joy, reminding

us that Christianity is, "Good news",

which has its heart and complete

content the person of Jesus Christ,

The Word made flesh, the One

Savior of the world !

When Mary and Joseph brought

infant Jesus to the temple(The

Presentation) Simeon

tells Mary, "This child is destined

for the falling and rising of many

in Israel - and a sword will pierce

your own soul too." (Luke  Ch.2 V 34-35)

Blessed Mary pondered on those given

words and knew she would have to

suffer along with her son, as he

fulfills God's plan.  Simeon's words

are a prophecy for Mary, to help

her prepare herself , that being

the Mother of Christ will be of

joy but also pain.

Blessed Mary nursed and fed baby

Jesus.  She would wash his laundry and

helped him grow.  Joseph stayed as

their stronghold and protector.

Matthew Ch. 2 V) The flight into Egypt - An

Angel appeared to Joseph in a dream ; telling

him to flee to Egypt with Mary and infant Jesus.

Since King Herod would seek the child to kill

him.  Joseph did as the Angel asked of him.

Mary and Joseph relied completely on

God and placed their faith and trust

in Him.

They both protected and cared for Jesus

and his whereabouts. But low and behold

they lost our Lord for three days !  They

couldn't find the Christ child !

They were traveling back home from

Jerusalem and realized Jesus was

missing , so they returned to

Jerusalem.  They finally found

Jesus in the Temple , speaking with

the elders.  They were amazed at his

learning, especially given his young

age. ( Luke Ch. 2 V 49-51)

Can you imagine their anxiety?

Losing the Christ child ?

It took another day  for them

to travel back to Jerusalem

and another day to find him !

As Jesus grew older he studied

in local synagogues in the

 Jerusalem temples.

Blessed Mary was very close to her

Son.   I believe she knew her time with Jesus

would have to become less frequent.

It was Jesus time to be let known

to the people of all kinds !

I'm certain she gathered word from the

towns people of Jesus healing the sick

and the blind !  The first miracle Jesus

ever performed was for her ; The Wedding

at Cana (John Ch. 2 V 1-5) Changing

water into wine .

Jesus name was going out into the world

He had gathered his chosen twelve

apostles and his mission continues

in God's plan for His Church.

Blessed Mary , along

with many others heard about

Jesus raising  Lazarus from the dead !

(John Ch. 11 V 38-44)

Jesus says, "Take away the stone !"

Martha, Lazarus sister mentions

how her brother had been dead

for four days !

Then Jesus said, "Did I not tell

you that if you believe, you will see

the glory of God?"

I am sure the news traveled fast

from village to village !

Blessed Mary knew he was out

there in the world, doing the

will of God.  Many people

were beginning to follow Jesus

and believe he is Lord.

But Mary also knew how disbelief

people can be and how hate can

be given toward her precious son,

whom she loved !

Going the extra mile for God's people !

(Matthew Ch. 14 V 13-21)

Jesus feeds 5000  men along with

women and children.

"Jesus went to a solitary place

and people followed him on foot

from the towns.

When Jesus landed and saw a large

crowd, he had compassion on

them and healed their sick.

It was getting late and the disciples

asked Jesus if they should send the

people away to buy themselves

something to eat."

Jesus replied , "They do not need

to go away, "You give them something

to eat."

"We only have five loaves and two

fish, "they answered."

They brought the five loaves

and two fish on Jesus request,

He gave thanks, and broke the

loaves, looking up to Heaven.

Then he handed them to the

disciples  to give to the people !

The power of God filled the

baskets full of plenty of bread

and fish for all !  there were

even basketfuls left over !

This was a foreshadow of

what was yet to come ;

"The Last Supper." (John

Ch. 6 )

Transubstantiation:  The conversion

of the substance of the Eucharistic

elements into the body and blood

of Christ during consecration only

the appearances of bread and

wine still remains+++

note: It's when the priest consecrate

the bread and wine during Mass.

Jesus knew many of his followers

would not believe in what he had to

say at "The last  Supper" .

The eleven remained by his side in

saying, "To whom shall we go ?"

They followed Jesus and

believed in His Words.

Luke Ch. 22 V 44)  Jesus felt such

agony in the garden.  he was praying

and his sweat became like drops of

blood, falling down upon the ground.

Seeing how all the disciples were asleep

Jesus yelled for Peter !" Can't you stay

awake with me for one hour ?"

Thinking about Blessed Mary

wiping Jesus dirty and  sweaty

face from the hot outdoors !

She would gently place a linen

cloth of warm water and soap

to clean his tiny face.

Now our Lord is alone in the garden

with so  much pain and no one

there to wipe his sweat and tears

from his beautiful face.  He is

arrested and whipped at the

pillar Mark Ch. 15, V 15)

The Roman soldiers hand Our

Lord his heavy cross to carry.

Blessed Mary is in witness of

her precious son ; being mocked

at and spat on.  She goes to

Jesus as he carries his cross

to Calvary ; the skull place :Hebrew

Golgotha  (John Ch. 19 V 16-17)

She flashes back of the times she

picked him up off the ground as

a child.

she remembers her holding him

and cleaning his wounds and

wiping his tears.

Now her dear Son is to be

crucified outside of Jerusalem's

walls..

Blessed Mary goes to Jesus carrying

his cross. Her son is nearly

unrecognizable . There is so much blood

and sweat pouring out from his body !

He looked at her with is beautiful eyes

that pierced her soul -- She is reminded

of Simeon's words "And a sword will

pierce your own soul too."

{During Jesus carrying his Cross

Veronica wipes the face of Jesus ;

placing his image on her veil .}

Blessed Mary meets Christ at the top

of the Hill on Calvary ; where he is

crucified. (John Ch. 19 V 30)

"Therefore Jesus had received the

sour wine, he said , "It is finished."

And he bowed his head and gave up

his spirit."

His mother wiped his holy tears

as he was taken off the Cross.

Jesus is placed into her arms and

she moans in agony.  She is holding her

son , her God, her Savior , and

The Worlds Savior +++

She Wiped His Tears .
