It was a bright and sunny day!
And the skies of blue
were crisp and clear!
People were going about their everyday business.
Some had appointments and deadlines to fulfill.
And some were supposed to be there but canceled
appointments and delays kept them from there.

Suddenly, when the Twin Towers were hit
everything changed!
On that day '
People were racing for their cellphones
to connect with those, they loved.
On that day '
How can a beautiful and glorious day
feel so cold, dark, and empty!
Many people standing together in
disbelief and watching the horror unfold.
On that day '
The city was engulfed by a shock of silence
as people swiftly moved into action with great
confusion.
Store owners trying to save the ones on the
street!
"Come inside!" they would shout!
"Get away from the debris and dust!" They would
motion them in!
People helping people!
On that day '
Countless first responders making their way and
running towards the darkness!
On that day '
Firefighters listening to people's stories
as they cried out in terror!
People calming one another and hugging
them tightly through their trauma!
On that day '
Through all the chaos there was an eerie silence
as people gazed towards the towers.
Can anyone survive and will they be heard?
On that day '
First responders and even bystanders pulled together
and remarkably heard the cries of the people!
Hallelujah ' On that day '
The world reflected on what had taken place
and was difficult to take it all in!
Our president's position was in a stronghold and
placed boots on enemy territory!
America stood tall together with her
allies taking aim!
On that day '
All those lives who were taken we hold with
high regard; 2,753 The World Trade Center,
184 of the Pentagon, and 40 in Pennsylvania.
265 victims on the four planes.
More than 400 police officers and firefighters
lives were taken.
We Wept ' On that day '
Since that day many soldiers of brave men and women lost their lives
fighting for our freedom and protection+

one's life for one's friends.
Heroes of America ' On that day '
We hold steadfast in Our God with pain in our hearts+
We as a nation look up to Our Heavenly Father in
reaching out for his strength and endless love+
It is through prayer that sustains us and trusting
in God's Divine Love that upholds us+
United we stand in protection of our people
and our lands forever!
