Because It's Me

My day seems a bit rough and tiring.
I ask myself what is worth all this.
You answer me!
Because it's me.

 I often see my home as a train wreck
and so much work is needed!
Why should I bother?
Because it's me you are working for
 and the need falls upon you and
your family.

 Nobody even sees the work that
I do.  I ask myself how important
is all this anyway?
Because it's me
and no work is hidden
from me.

 Why should I go the extra mile
to help those around me?
It will never pay off!
Your extra mile I receive
and your reward awaits you
in Heaven.

 My teen has become a little
distant and seems to be in
his own little world.
If I go to him, he will
shrug me off.
Go sit near him and
hug him anyway
Because it's me!

 I see a child who seems
sad and alone.
When you look into
the eyes of a child
you will see Me +++

 This child is refusing my
rules and its behavior seem
negative and low.
Always teach discipline
in a constructive way.
If you teach in aggressive
ways there will be no
learning accomplished.
Because it's me.

 What do you mean ' my Lord,
when you say, "Because it's me?"
What you do to the least of
my brother or sister
that you do unto me
Because it's me!
