I'm taking you back to the beginning of my blog. The Embrace the Cross
website began April of 2015, and the blog began April of 2016.
I had website cards made and trying to spread
"Army of Prayer & Rosary & Embrace the Cross."
on August 26, 2016, I had placed "Embrace the Cross "website in the
newspapers for one week. Well, I guess I paid the price the next day.
I wrote in my journal on Aug. 27, 2016, on a Saturday night something very
unusual happened. My husband and I was fast asleep in our upstairs bedroom and suddenly
I awoke with a strong smell of cotton candy right underneath my nose.
I could smell it for at least 15 -20 seconds. I remained paralyzed and remembered
the bubblegum my granddaughter had left on my kitchen table. I didn't make
a sound and quickly ran down the stairs in my kitchen. There was the bubblegum
lying there and I picked it up and smelled it. It was the scent of cotton candy!
The next morning, my husband was sitting in the living room and I told him to
close his eyes and don't open them. I held the gum up to his nose and asked him to
guess what this is! He said it smelled like a candle. I then showed him the bubblegum
and told him what had happened to me! I then threw the gum away in the trash and
it had never happened again! Anytime we go forward in Christ we must have confidence
and keep a stronghold in our Lord. It doesn't mean evil won't try to disturb us and
have us not to trust in God. We are to acknowledge what happened and go forward.
The worst thing we can do is dwell into darkness and pretend nothing happened.
I did mention my unpleasant experience to a priest and my house has been blessed.
The priest I confided in gave me a powerful prayer card called St. Patrick's Breastplate. ⛨
