A Time in April 1994

 Courage and Rejection

April 28, 1994 / Because It's Your Heart I See

Hotel Rwanda / 4-27-2023

Dear One's,

History must be taught and listened to.

If it isn't taught correctly then

the information becomes messed up

and non-accurate.

If History isn't taught, then the event

that took place could become one-sided and

misinterpreted.

We must talk about past events and

how things got started

and what were the consequences.

We need to know who, what, and

when, and how did the event finally end.

Most importantly we need to know

who were the inflicted ones.

The thing about history, people will

begin to ask questions. What sparked

the event and how did the people

endure it.

We also need to dive in how did the

people resolve the problem and

and come together?

We must remember when an

important event takes place, the

younger generations are going to

be curious and ask questions.

We owe it to them to explain the

event or events well.

We have to take them back to

that time period and give them

the information they are needing

to know.

Because when we become real and

honest to others it shows respect,

honor and self-dignity.

Even if the event is very painful to

talk about; something is always learned.

Empathy, compassion, love towards

one another will develop and trust and

unity will begin to shape and take place.

If we pretend or ignore important events

even if they are unpleasant to speak about

nothing changes and unfortunately is

at a high risk of repeating itself.

Then we go to the popular phrase

"The One Who Does Not Remember

History is Bound to Live Through It

Again."

{We all know the saying " If History isn't

taught then it is doomed to repeat itself."}

Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed(scripture) / Divine Mercy Sunday

 John Ch. 20 V19-31

{19} On the evening of that first day of

the week, when the disciples were

together, with the doors locked for

fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus

came and stood among them and

said, "Peace be with you!"  {20} After he

said this, he showed them his hands

and side. The disciples were

overjoyed when they saw the Lord.

{21} Again Jesus said, "Peace be with

you! As the Father has sent me, I am

sending you." {22} And with that he

breathed on them and said, "Receive

the Holy Spirit. {23} If you forgive

anyone's sins, their sins are forgiven;

if you do not forgive them, they are

not forgiven."

Jesus Appears to Thomas

{24} Now Thomas (also known as

Didymus), one of the Twelve, was

not with the disciples when Jesus

came. So the other disciples told

him, "We have seen the Lord!"

But he said to them, "Unless I see

the nail marks in his hands and put

my finger where the nails were, and put

my hand into his side, I will not

believe."

{26} A week later his disciples were in

the house again, and Thomas was

with them. Though the doors were

locked, Jesus came and stood

among them and said, "Peace be

with you!" {27} Then he said to Thomas,

"Put your finger here; see my hands.

Reach out your hand and put it into

my side. Stop doubting and believe."

{28} Thomas said to him, "My Lord and

my God!"

{29} Then Jesus told him, "Because you

have seen me, you have believed;

blessed are those who have not seen

and yet have believed."

{30} Jesus performed many other signs

in the presence of his disciples,

which are not recorded in this book.

But these are written that you may

believe that Jesus is the Messiah,

the Son of God, and that by believing

you may have life in his name.

Acts Ch: 2 V 42-47

The fellowship of the Believers

{42} They devoted themselves to the

apostles' teaching and to fellowship,

to the breaking of bread and to

prayer. Everyone was filled with

awe at the many wonders and signs

performed by the apostles. All the

believers were together and had

everything in common. They sold

property and possessions to give to

anyone who had need. Every day

they continued to meet together in

the temple courts. They broke bread

in their homes and ate together with

glad and sincere hearts,{47} praising

God and enjoying the favor of all the

people. And the Lord added to their

number daily those who were being

saved.

1 Peter Ch: 1 V3-9

Praise to God for a Living Hope

{3} Praise be to the God and Father of

our Lord Jesus Christ! in his great

mercy he has given us new birth into

a living hope through the resurrection

of Jesus Christ from the dead, and

into an inheritance that can never

perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance

is kept in heaven for you, who

through faith are shielded by God's

power until the coming of the

salvation that is ready to be revealed

in the last time. In all this you

greatly rejoice, though now for a little

while you may have had to suffer

grief in all kinds of trials. These

have some so that the proven

genuineness of your faith--of greater

worth than gold, which perishes even

though refined by fire--may result in

praise, glory and honor when Jesus

Christ is revealed. Though you have

not seen him, you love him; and even

though you do not see him now, you

believe in him and are filled with an

inexpressible and glorious joy, {9} for

you are receiving the end result of

your faith, the salvation of your

souls.

My Tiny Bag

It was a crisp spring day and

the warmth of the sun shined

through the window upon

 my tiny body.

I could hear all kinds of voices

surrounding me.

I was placed inside a warmer

where I was being carefully

weighed and wiped down.

I was then placed in a

warm blanket.

I was given to a special person

who was very tired and wanted

to hold me.

She held me in her arms

and touched my silky dark hair.

She bent down and kissed me

on my soft cheeks. But she was

silent and her love was overwhelming.

Her tears ran down her beautiful

face and fell onto mine.

She gently handed me to

a nurse and I was taken away.

This special person was

my birth mom!

I hear new voices of a

man and women

who were waiting

for me in a nearby room.

The nurse brings me to

them in my comfortable

bassinet. I was freshly

bathed with a tiny

white shirt on and wrapped

in a soft blanket.

I'm still wondering about my

birth Mom and where did she

go?

I hear a man and women's

voice near my

tiny frame and they touch

my little hand.

The man and women

 tell me how beautiful I

am and they feel so blessed

to have me!

I see them walking down the

hallway giving

 my birth Mom a hug.

They also handed her

a tiny box with a piece

of jewelry inside.

She will always be "My

hero!"

The man and women

I had seen earlier

picked me up ever so

gently, each with a

kiss onto my tiny

head.

My new adopted Mom,

held me against her

chest. Suddenly her tears

flowed and touched

me cheeks.

My eyes looked up

at my new parents

 and they were

 proudly looking

down at me!

I began to cry and they

comforted me.

The nurse gently

takes me from them

for my feeding.

Where are my new parents?

Where did they go?

Shortly later I arrive

in this cozy room

down the hallway.

The room has a

bed for my new mom

and a roll away

bed for my new dad!

I also see two large bags

sitting on top of the bed,

 but I also

see a tiny bag sitting next to

theirs as well.

I hear familiar voices

coming in the doorway!

It's my parents holding a

small box from my birth mom!

The box was for me!

It was a piece of jewelry

with a written note inside.

and they placed it carefully inside

my tiny bag.
